I HAVE LOST AND LOVED AND WON AND CRIED MYSELF TO THE PERSON I AM TODAY.

Recent developments in my personal life have reminded me just how much the seasons of our lives can reflect those of mother nature. Some times are darker and colder while others seem to burst forth with light and knock the cobwebs out of their secret places. I am currently experiencing the brighter, happier times and I am eternally grateful for it. There is family, friends, adventure and romance planned for the near future. Frolicking has commenced and new dresses have been ordered. I am rosy cheeked and ready for what's next. Though this season too must pass, I hope it takes its time because I like the weather just how it is for the moment.

Some images are kindred spirits, they relate and respond to one another in a way similar to how body language communicates between two people. It’s chemical, mineral, visual. It’s couplings. - b.

TULIPS ON THE WINDOWSILL

These are a few of my favorite things about spring- those first few lunches spent outdoors with friends, going coatless for the first time in months, glowing cheeks from sunshine + wind, tulips on the windowsill.

Are there any moments more idyllic than those experienced in spring? - b.

LITTLE VINTAGE FINDS
little vintage finds | via: bekuh b.

I spent a good bit of last weekend digging through bins, and shelves, and racks full of vintage. I used to do this several times a month but now I'm lucky if I make it to the thrift store once a quarter. It felt good to be back in the game and I scored big time!

I've not really been in the mood to shop for clothes lately, instead focusing my efforts on finding unique household items. Things I can use for flower arranging, crafting, and decoration. Here's what I found:

+  4 flower frogs

+ 2 rolls of crushed velvet ribbon, one red and one biege

+ 3 2yd lengths of silk ribbon in navy, hunter green, and cream

+ 4 carved wood napkin rings

+ 1 hand-carved wood tray

+ 4 small amber glass vials

+ 3 bottles of essential oils- lime, violet, and rosemary

Funny how they all turned out to be little things, nothing larger than a dessert plate. I can't wait to use all of my goodies in a few upcoming projects ranging from Christmas gifts to photoshoots. - b.
