WINTERIZING HERBS
The title of this post is a little cryptic but I'm not quite sure what else to call this thing I've started doing. With the end of summer long past and fall quickly coming to a close all those bunches of fresh herbs in the grocery stores are starting to dry up- or at least get exponentially more expensive. So I've come up with my own solution to the problem. I'm freezing them.
I've collected basil, tarragon, oregano, sage, mint, and coriander. Each herb has been carefully cleaned, cut, and then tucked tightly into the ends of plastic bags and frozen for later use. They will be the glory of our fall suppers. They will flavor our Thanksgiving meal. They make me so very happy - b.
